This spell may only be cast on a piece of dead animal, insect, fungal, bacterial, viral, or plant matter, where the original animal could be alive and while at a size of 2' x 2' or less. The matter being transformed must be entirely of one species, and must be equal in weight to the living thing that is being restored.
When this spell is cast, the matter that this spell is being cast on is transformed into as few members of that species as is possible, given the mass provided. For example, if this spell was cast on a piece of wood, only one seedling or sapling tree would be formed from the matter. However, if this spell was cast on a pile of hummingbird bones of bee carcasses, it is likely that multiple hummingbirds of bees (respectively) would be created.
